Shortly after completing his Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University in 1993, Alen Malekian founded Malekian and Associates in 1997, bringing over 25 years of experience as a building design consultant. His experience in large and small firms, and in structural fabrication has given him years of hands-on knowledge and expertise throughout all project phases. As a licensed Architect and General Contractor, Alen has overseen hundreds of commercial, retail, industrial, and public works facility projects in California completed at Malekian and Associates.
Additionally, he is active in local government and community service in Glendale, Burbank and Pasadena having served as a City of Glendale Design Review Commissioner since 2003.
“I use this experience every day to know what would be the most efficient use in building design,” says Mr. Malekian. “I always put myself on the other side, thinking about how I would ask for services as a client. What is it that I need to understand about their individual needs?”
